Moment

What is a moment?

A moment is a specific experience.

It can be:

  • An event
  • A conversation
  • A realization
  • A reflection
  • A decision

A moment belongs to a particular point in time.

Related threads

A moment can be connected to one or more threads.

If a moment refers to an ongoing part of your life such as a relationship, a project, or a recurring concern, it becomes linked to the corresponding thread.

These connections allow separate experiences to become part of a continuous pattern over time instead of remaining isolated entries.

Importance

Each moment has an importance score.

This score is estimated automatically based on:

  • The emotional intensity of your writing
  • The tone and language used
  • The semantic weight of what is described

Moments that carry strong emotion, significant events, or meaningful decisions are considered more important.

This helps distinguish minor daily details from experiences that had a deeper impact.
