Thread

What is a thread?

A thread is an ongoing part of your life.

It represents something that continues over time, not just a single event.

A thread can be:

  • A relationship with someone
  • A project you’re working on
  • A long-term habit
  • A recurring challenge
  • An important theme in your life
  • etc…

Related moments

A thread is built from the moments connected to it.

Each time a moment relates to the same recurring element in your life, it becomes linked to that thread.

Over time, the thread becomes a collection of related moments.

This allows you to:

  • See how a situation evolves
  • Revisit the different stages of a relationship or project
  • Understand how your thoughts and emotions change over time

Importance

Each thread has an importance level.

This importance is calculated automatically using:

  • The number of related moments
  • The importance of those moments
  • A time-based decay that gives more weight to recent activity

In simple terms:

A thread becomes more important when:

  • It appears often
  • It is linked to emotionally significant moments
  • It has been active recently

Older moments gradually matter less, so importance reflects both long-term presence and current relevance.
